Tokuratec Tatami Machinery Exhibition

[Overview]
This was a tatami mat manufacturing machinery evaluation event hosted by Tokuratec Co., Ltd. Artspace Irisa Iwazaki Shouten's predecessor, "Iwazaki Shoten," handled tatami mat manufacturing machinery as a wholesale distributor of tatami materials until 2012, making this event deeply related to the building's original purpose. It was embraced as an opportunity to convey the current state of the tatami industry, where the number of craftsmen and manufacturing machinery is declining, and to contribute to the preservation and transmission of Japan's tatami culture. This corporate evaluation event was made possible through the introduction of Inamura Tatami Shop.
