NANAMI HIDA: Layering Night upon Night
March 5 - March 26, 2025
[Overview]
This is a solo exhibition by Nanami Hida, an artist from Kannami Town, Shizuoka Prefecture. In this exhibition, the artist, who has explored the mystique and traces of time residing in ruins and vacant houses, develops a simplified, abbreviated form of "house" in both three-dimensional and two-dimensional works, drawing on her previous approach of depicting the cracks in buildings and the aging process etched into materials. The exhibition features two-dimensional works using light-absorbing black materials and a three-dimensional work, "Room city," placed on a raised tatami area.
